The Boys to the Bush program fills a gap in assistance provide to youth at risk that has a number of significant benefits to the region, State and Federal Governments and young men at risk.
By targeting youth who are at a crossroad in life and giving them self worth, the projects stops the downward trajectory of these youth before the problem becomes too hard to reverse or an enormous amount of resources are required to get the back on track to a healthy productive life; and often not before a large amount of damage has
been to relationships and community property.
The program has received a lot of support from the Albury Wodonga community, business sector and the local health service, Albury Wodonga Health. This support continues to grow.
I fully endorse the Boys to the Bush program, have given my own time and effort towards seeing it continue to operate and grow its capabilities to assist more youth. I have done this because the program changes lives; and not just the lives of the boys themselves but those of their parents, siblings and friends.
